Happy B-Day

2009 Birthdays have started and Jodi gets the first Happy Birthday Song of the family.

Only this year she isn’t here to be sung to. Happy Birthday Jodi and we hope you are having a fabulous time on your cruse. I hope somehow they, the cruse people, find out it is yours and Shelly’s B-Day today(Jan 7th) and they do something special for you both.

Thanks for being such a great daughter & sister, granddaughter, friend, young women’s leader, church member, aunt, sister-in law, cousin, niece, dog tender, money saver, banker, home decorator, scripture & Ensign cover to cover reader, blogger, stiletto wearing, exercising girl. All those things and more make you a very special person who has great potential and a fun future ahead.

Love you and Happy Birthday!

New again

There is just something quit and serene about having all the Christmas taken down and the house cleaned and the family pictures back out , the furniture rearranged, the gifts all put away, the treats finally being eaten or taken to work to share (and get ride of). I have always loved getting all decorated for the Christmas season, looking at the new and old decorations, the lights, the feeling you get thinking about the season, but I am here to admit, that after 30 days or so, I love taking it down.

I spent about 12 hrs. Fri. doing just that, and was exhausted at the end of the day. Jodi came home and finished getting ready for her big trip, and was feeling a little better, in her lower back area, after a few pills and an hour long message. I am excited for here to go on this cruse with her friends and hope she has a great time.

I am looking forward to a new year, I will never forget the memories of the last year. The hard times and the good. The things that stayed the same and the ones that will be forever changed. The new adventures that await us, and hopefully there will be many.

I get teased constantly for having talking walls, but I found a quote ,that for some reason , I really liked and after all that went on with mom, the house, & the baby it just seemed fitting.

“It’s not about waiting for the Storm the Pass, but learning to Dance In The Rain” our character and who we are is built by the situations we are part of, I want to learn to Dance in the Rain and become better for it, instead of hiding and waiting for better times to eventually come. We are here to be tested and we don’t all need “A’s”, but we need to have tried our very best.

I am thankful I am still here and can still work hard to become a better person, one that my family deserves and that my Father in Heaven is waiting to see.
